Flashark Catless Downpipe for Audi A4 & VW Passat 1.8T
Upgrade the turbo-exhaust section of your Audi A4 B5/B6 or Volkswagen Passat B5/B5.5 with the Flashark catless downpipe.
Designed specifically for confirmed vehicles equipped with the 1.8L turbocharged inline-four engine, this downpipe uses mandrel-bent stainless-steel tubing to provide a smoother, less restrictive exhaust path from the turbocharger.
The catless construction does not contain a catalytic converter. Two oxygen-sensor bungs are integrated into the pipe so the vehicle’s compatible oxygen sensors can be transferred where applicable.
Important: Oxygen sensors are not included. Because this product does not contain a catalytic converter, exhaust odor and sound may increase, and an emissions-related check-engine light may occur depending on the vehicle’s sensor system and calibration.

What Changes After Installation?

Installation Notes
Professional installation is recommended. Before removing the original exhaust component, compare the replacement downpipe with the factory pipe and verify:
- Turbo-side flange pattern
- Outlet flange and pipe diameter
- O2 sensor bung locations
- Exhaust routing and surrounding clearance
- Drivetrain and transmission configuration
Existing aftermarket exhaust components may affect alignment and connection compatibility. Inspect all mating surfaces and check for exhaust leaks after the first complete heat cycle.

What vehicles does this downpipe fit?
It fits confirmed 1997–2005 Audi A4 B5/B6 and 1998–2005 Volkswagen Passat B5/B5.5 applications equipped with the 1.8L turbocharged inline-four engine. Fitment is limited to the listed vehicle configurations.
Does it fit every Audi A4 or VW Passat from these years?
No. It fits listed 1.8T L4 applications only. It does not fit V6, 3.0L, W8, TDI, 2.0T or other engine configurations.
Does it fit a 2005.5 Audi A4 B7?
No. This downpipe is intended for the listed Audi A4 B5/B6 1.8T applications. It does not fit the later 2005.5 A4 B7 or 2.0T platform.
Does it fit Volkswagen Passat GLS 4Motion?
The confirmed fitment data includes 2004–2005 Volkswagen Passat GLS 4Motion applications equipped with the 1.8T L4 engine. Confirm the original turbo flange and exhaust routing before installation.
Does it fit an Audi A4 Quattro?
The supplied fitment data does not separately identify every Audi drivetrain configuration. Before ordering for a Quattro model, compare the original downpipe routing and flange connections with the product images or contact Flashark with the VIN and vehicle specifications.
Does this downpipe contain a catalytic converter?
No. This is a catless downpipe and does not contain a catalytic converter.
How many O2 sensor bungs does it have?
The downpipe has two integrated oxygen-sensor bungs. Oxygen sensors are not included and must be transferred or sourced separately where applicable.
Will this downpipe cause a check-engine light?
It may. Because the product does not contain a catalytic converter, the vehicle’s emissions-monitoring system may detect catalyst-efficiency or oxygen-sensor readings outside the expected range. Flashark does not guarantee CEL-free operation.
Does this catless downpipe require a tune?
Tuning requirements depend on the vehicle’s ECU calibration, oxygen-sensor monitoring and complete exhaust configuration. A tuner is not included. Consult a qualified Audi or Volkswagen technician before making software or calibration changes.
Will the exhaust become louder?
Yes, exhaust and turbo sound will generally become more noticeable with a catless downpipe. Final sound depends on the resonator, muffler, cat-back system and any other exhaust modifications.
Will the exhaust smell stronger?
It may. Because no catalytic converter is present, exhaust odor can be stronger than with the original catalytic system.
How much horsepower will it add?
No fixed horsepower increase is guaranteed. Results depend on the engine, turbocharger, calibration, vehicle condition and the rest of the exhaust system.
What is included in the package?
