Purchased the chrome shorty headers for a 1988 GMC C1500 with 5.7 engine. Quality and fit were very good, all parts that were in the box to install. Installation was went very good with spark plugs out, but found when trying to install plugs on passenger side rear plug (# 8 cylinder ) could not be installed. Plug was to long. ( I think someone makes a shorter plug that could be installed ) So I removed header and installed #8 plug and reinstalled header. Spark plug wire barely fit but had to work for the time, put piece of heat shield between header and wire. Had y pipe made and connected to original exhaust. Header look and make the truck sound very good

I ordered these for my 97 Yukon 5.7 and did an egr delete and new tune as well to wrap it all up. I did purchase some new Fel Pro gaskets and I had to use different bolts for the Y pipe because the included ones weren’t long enough. For the price though you really can’t complain, the welds are all perfect and they’re stainless. I will say the flanges weren’t perfectly flat, but when I paired the fel pro AND included gaskets together, I had no issue getting them to seal up nice, and that’s with the included header bolts! Once I got my truck fired up I fell in love with the new sound. I’ve got a magnaflow straight through muffler and it sounds really good!

I've had these headers on my truck for a little over a month now and I have to say that these are the best shortie headers for the price. You do have to bend the factory y-pipe but other than that it's a straight bolt on. I do recommend that you make a custom y-pipe though, I just bolted my new one up and it sounds even better with a little bit more power too.
