EXHAUST HEADER FOR 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 BMW M54 Engine | E46 320i/325i/330i Z3 Z4

Stainless Steel Sport Exhaust Headers for BMW 320i/325i/330i/Z3/Z4 with M54 6-cylinder engine, and manual or automatic transmissions. Models with air pumps may require modifications. These high-performance headers were developed in Germany and are manufactured out of heavy gauge T304 stainless steel for long life. They are intended for track and off-road use only unless you weld in catalytic converters. The kit comes complete with gaskets. Left-Hand Drive models only. Not for four-wheel drive models.

  • Design utilizes a F1-style merge collector for reduced turbulence and creates more horsepower and torque
  • Improved TIG welding with each weld back purged so each weld is protected on both the front and rear sides
  • Includes 4 O2 (lambda) sensor ports just like the original down pipe configuration, does not include catalytic converters - not useable on the public roads! Check your local regulations
  • Improvement is approximately 12 hp. With our ECU tuning software upgrades we have seen increases of over 30 HP

Exhaust Header VS Manifold, which is the better choice?

The structural differences between exhaust headers and manifolds are the material and size. From the material, exhaust headers are made of lighter, thinner steel, while exhaust manifolds are made of thick iron. Exhaust headers are also longer than exhaust manifolds. When in use, exhaust manifolds create back pressure, which lowers performance. Because each cylinder of the engine is given its own tube, however, headers eliminate this problem; thus, allowing the gases to exit without the creation of back pressure. Therefore, exhaust headers are a BETTER choice than an exhaust manifold.
