- Confirm your Camaro's trim and engine. This cat-back is built exclusively for the 6.2L V8 — Camaro 1SS, 2SS, SS, and ZL1. It is not compatible with the 3.6L V6 Camaro. Double-check the factory trim badge and the engine designation under the hood before ordering.
- Pick the right version for your transmission and body style. The Aluminized Steel version is engineered for the L99 automatic Coupe only. If your Camaro is a manual transmission (LS3), or if you drive a Convertible, choose the 304 Stainless Steel version — its routing clears the convertible chassis reinforcement crossmembers and the manual-transmission bellhousing area.
- Choose the material that fits your climate. The Aluminized Steel version delivers solid performance at a lower price point but has weaker corrosion resistance and is best suited to dry climates. The 304 Stainless Steel version is the better pick for humid, rainy, snowy, or road-salt-heavy environments.
- Keep your catalytic converter and oxygen sensors. This kit does not include a catalytic converter, downpipe, or header — those factory components are retained. If you need a higher-flow cat or a full turbo-back setup, this is not the right kit.
