409 Stainless Steel Material
All of the Flashark DPF delete pipes are made of stainless steel 409, which has better durability than aluminized Steel.
What is the DPF and is it worth doing a DPF Delete?
Most diesel vehicles manufactured after 2007 are equipped with a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) to meet emissions regulations. While the DPF helps reduce harmful emissions, it comes with a few downsides, including regular maintenance and costly repairs.
Over time, the DPF can become clogged, causing increased backpressure within the exhaust system. This added pressure disrupts the fuel flow, reducing engine efficiency and power. By removing the DPF with a LML Duramax DPF Delete Kit, the exhaust gases can flow more freely, significantly improving fuel efficiency and engine performance.
With the LML Duramax DPF Delete Kit, your 2011-2016 Chevy/GMC Duramax 6.6L engine will experience smoother fuel flow, increased power, and better overall fuel mileage. Removing the DPF eliminates the need for frequent cleaning and maintenance, leading to lower repair costs and improved long-term engine reliability.
Installation:
The Flashark 6.7 Powerstroke Delete Pipe is designed for a straightforward installation process. Compatible with 2011-2023 Ford F-250, F-350, and F-450 trucks, this downpipe-back system requires basic hand tools and approximately 1 hour to install. A DPF delete tuner is essential to eliminate diagnostic issues after installation. All necessary clamps, hangers, and hardware are included for a hassle-free setup.
Tuner Required: Removal of the DPF, CAT, SCR, and/or DOC involves removing and eliminating emission-related sensors. A DPF delete capable tuner is required to prevent any check engine light or diagnostic trouble codes from setting.
Benefits: Expect to see a significant increase in fuel mileage. If your DPF is plugged up your probably averaging about 13-14 mpg. More or less depends on the severity of the restriction. After deleting the DPF/CAT expects to get a combined mileage of 18-19 mpg.
- It removes the need to service the DPF at regular intervals (cleaning, replacement)
- A DPF delete will remove the possibility of a DPF failure which could cause expensive diesel repairs
- Due to less exhaust backpressure, the DPF delete increases exhaust flow and therefore increases the performance of your motor!
- Paired with an ECU remap, the DPF delete is proven to increase power and torque for all vehicles
Often, after purchasing the DPF Delete Race Pipe customers will also purchase other adapters. Come on, check out Flashark's all-in-one kits and modify your car to your heart's content!
