What This DPF Delete Pipe Changes

The diesel particulate filter is part of the factory exhaust aftertreatment and regeneration system. Installing a DPF delete race pipe replaces the applicable emissions-related exhaust section with a straight-through pipe assembly.

For FLES08101, installation involves removing the factory DPF/SCR exhaust section, disconnecting the related sensors and DEF injector connections, and installing the replacement pipe sections between the existing downpipe and tailpipe assembly.

This mechanical change affects the factory sensors, diagnostic monitoring and regeneration strategy. It does not block the EGR system or reroute crankcase ventilation.

What Is Included

FLES08101 — 4-Inch DPF Race Pipe

  • Pipe section 51413
  • Pipe section 51414
  • SS70 clamp and hanger assembly

Package contents vary by selected configuration. Components differ between FLES08101, FLES08112, FLES08065 and FLES08109.

Tune and Additional Requirements

A compatible DPF-delete calibration is required when the factory aftertreatment hardware and related sensor connections are removed. A tuner, tune file and programming service are not included with this exhaust product.

Operating the truck without the required compatible calibration can result in a check-engine light, diagnostic trouble codes, interrupted regeneration logic, reduced-power operation or limp mode. Results depend on the vehicle calibration, selected exhaust configuration, sensor layout and installation quality; warning-free operation cannot be guaranteed.

A separately sold Mini Maxx V2 tuner is available. Match tuner compatibility to the vehicle model year and calibration before purchase.

Installation Notes

  • Allow the exhaust system to cool completely before removal.
  • Support the vehicle safely and use appropriate protective equipment.
  • Remove the associated sensors and DEF injector connections before removing the factory DPF/SCR exhaust section.
  • Some factory hardware and OEM rubber hanger locations are reused.
  • Shorter wheelbase or bed/cab configurations may require cutting.
  • Suspension lifts and other vehicle modifications can require exhaust alignment adjustments.
  • Position clamps before joining the pipe sections.
  • Adjust pipe routing and clearance before evenly tightening the connections from front to rear.
  • Check all joints, clamps, hangers and clearances for exhaust leaks or contact before operating the truck.
  • Professional installation is recommended.
