Q2: Will this fit my Dodge Ram?

A2: This kit fits 2002–2008 Ram 1500 4.7L V8, 2003–2008 Ram 1500 5.7L HEMI V8, and 2003–2008 Ram 2500 5.7L HEMI V8. If your truck is outside these applications, contact us with its year, model, and engine before ordering.

Q3: Does it fit a Ram 3500?

Q4: Does a 2002 Ram 1500 5.7L HEMI fit?

A4: No. The 2002 Ram 1500 application is limited to the 4.7L PowerTech V8; the 5.7L HEMI fitment begins with 2003 Ram 1500 models.

Q5: How much horsepower will this add?

A5: On a stock 4.7L or 5.7L V8, this intake can add approximately 5–12 hp and 8–15 lb-ft. Results vary with vehicle condition, calibration, installation, and supporting hardware.

Q6: Will it improve MPG?

A6: MPG is dominated by driving habits, load, tires, gearing, and vehicle condition; an intake alone cannot guarantee a measurable gain. Expect the main benefit as throttle response and intake tone rather than fuel economy.

A8: A loose clamp, intake leak, disconnected breather hose, damaged sensor wire, or incorrectly seated fitting can cause drivability issues. Inspect each hose, coupler, clamp, and sensor connection before starting the engine and recheck them after the first few drives.

Q9: Do I need a tune after installing?

A9: No tune is required for a standard bolt-on installation. Tuning may be considered when the truck has other major modifications such as headers, an upgraded exhaust, a larger throttle body, or camshaft changes.

Q10: Is the included filter oiled or dry?

A10: It is a dry, washable, reusable cone filter. Use mild soap and water when cleaning is needed, let it air-dry completely, and do not add oil.

Q11: What does it sound like?

A11: You can expect a deeper, more noticeable intake tone under acceleration. Sound is subjective and differs from an exhaust modification.

Q12: What is included and what tools do I need?

A12: The kit includes an intake tube, dry filter, heat shield, silicone couplers, clamps, mounting hardware, and instructions. Plan on basic hand tools for the bolt-on installation.

Q13: How long does installation take?

A13: Plan approximately 30–45 minutes with basic hand tools. Install the heat shield at the factory locations, seat every coupler fully, reconnect required hoses and sensors, and confirm the pipe and shield do not contact hot, moving, or wired components.

Q14: Is it safe in rain or deep water?

A14: Normal rain driving is generally different from deep-water crossings. Avoid deep water because water ingestion can cause hydrolock and severe engine damage.

Q15: How do I care for the dry filter?
