Q2: What's the difference between VQ35DE and VQ35HR, and why does it matter?
A: The VQ35DE (2003-2006) and VQ35HR (2007-2008) share the same displacement but have revised intake manifold geometry, different MAF sensor placement, and different airbox mounting points. The two engines are not intake-compatible. If your 350Z is a 2007 or 2008, you need a VQ35HR-specific kit — this one will not fit.
