The factory airbox on your 5.7L HEMI Ram 1500 was engineered for silence and cost — not performance. The sealed plastic housing with its flat paper filter restricts airflow to the HEMI's 345-cubic-inch V8, especially under load when you're towing, merging, or running through the gears.
The Flashark cold air intake replaces the entire restrictive factory system with a mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube, oversized conical dry filter, and black steel heat shield that isolates the filter from underhood heat soak. The 3.5" diameter aluminum tube provides a smooth, turbulence-free airflow path from filter to throttle body — no corrugated rubber hose, no crushed bends, no factory baffles choking the HEMI's appetite for air.
