Fitment:
Compatible with vehicles equipped with the BMW M52B28 2.8L engine:
The M52 headers feature a 6-2-1 lightweight piping design and are made from T304 stainless steel, ensuring long-lasting durability and performance.
Features:
Our M52 headers are designed with an F1-style merge collector for reduced turbulence and creates more horsepower and torque.
Improved TIG welding with each weld back purged so each weld is protected on both the front and rear sides
Includes 4 O2 (lambda) sensor ports just like the original down pipe configuration, does not include catalytic converters - not useable on the public roads! Check your local regulations
Improvement is approximately 12 hp. With our ECU tuning software upgrades, we have seen increases of over 30 HP
The design utilizes equal-length headers, smooth mandrel bends and large F1-style collectors
Headers make the car noticeably faster across the rpm range with minimal additional noise
Straight forward installation
These high-performance exhaust headers are made from durable T304 stainless steel and are designed for BMW M52 engines. They are suitable for models including E46. Fits both manual and automatic transmissions. Models with air pumps may require modifications. These high-performance headers were developed in Germany and are manufactured out of heavy gauge T304 stainless steel for long life. They are intended for track and off-road use only unless you weld in catalytic converters. The kit comes complete with gaskets. Left-hand drive models only.
Replacing or upgrading your exhaust header is necessary for both engine performance and sound. Whether on or off the track, exhaust headers provide more horsepower and improved exhaust sound. Exhaust Header vs. Manifold: Which is the Better Choice for Your BMW M54 Engine?
When upgrading your BMW’s exhaust system, choosing between an M52 header and a manifold is essential for improving performance. The key differences lie in the materials and design. M52 headers are made from lightweight T304 stainless steel, while traditional exhaust manifolds are typically crafted from thick, heavy iron. Additionally, M52 headers are longer than manifolds, providing improved exhaust flow.
Exhaust manifolds tend to create back pressure, which reduces engine performance. In contrast, M52 headers feature individual tubes for each cylinder, effectively eliminating back pressure. This design allows exhaust gases to flow freely, enhancing horsepower and torque. For optimal performance and efficiency, M52 headers are the superior choice over traditional exhaust manifolds.
Put this catch can on my ’21 Q60. Install was straightforward, hoses lined up perfectly. Engine feels smoother on acceleration, and I’m confident it’s preventing future carbon buildup.
Put these on my ’10 G37 Coupe last month. Fitment was spot-on, install went smooth, and no rattles or leaks after a few hundred miles. Noticeable bump in power and a deeper exhaust tone without too much drone.
Installed these on my ’08 G37X over the weekend, and I’m impressed. The fitment was spot-on, no weird gaps or alignment issues. Throttle response feels snappier, and there’s a nice bump in low-end torque. The sound is a bit more aggressive but still daily-driver friendly.
I installed these on my 2012 G37 Coupe. Fitment was decent—took some effort around the steering shaft but nothing crazy. Once installed, the car feels more responsive and definitely pulls harder above 4K RPM. The sound is throatier too, especially at wide open throttle. Paired with a tune, it made a noticeable difference. So far, no leaks or issues.
