What does Exhaust Header do?

Upgrading your headers and exhaust system is one of the most effective ways to boost horsepower, torque, and enhance engine performance. The FLASHARK Exhaust Header for the Nissan Hardbody is designed to improve exhaust flow, reduce backpressure, and help your engine perform at its best. This modification can add up to 8-20 horsepower, and also give your truck a more aggressive exhaust sound, perfect for those looking for that classic muscle car tone.

In addition to performance gains, installing a high-quality exhaust system can improve your fuel efficiency by approximately 0.5 mpg. While it may seem like a small increase, consider this: if gas costs $3 per gallon and you drive 15,000 miles per year, you could save around $85 annually on fuel. Over five years, that savings could almost cover the cost of a complete cat-back exhaust system.

Exhaust Header VS Manifold, which is the better choice?

The main structural differences between exhaust headers and manifolds lie in their material and design. Exhaust headers are made from lighter, thinner steel, while exhaust manifolds are typically made of thick iron. Additionally, headers are longer than manifolds, allowing for better exhaust flow.

When in use, exhaust manifolds can create backpressure, which negatively impacts engine performance. In contrast, exhaust headers are designed with individual tubes for each cylinder, eliminating backpressure and allowing exhaust gases to flow freely. This leads to improved performance, making exhaust headers a superior choice for your Nissan Hardbody.

By upgrading to Nissan Hardbody headers, you can maximize your engine’s efficiency, reduce backpressure, and enjoy better horsepower and torque.=

Doesn’t fit correctly

The front driveshaft hits the header. The truck is stock, at this point I cannot use the 4wD.

Good, but not perfect

I like the quality and the complete kit that comes with the part, but it's not a simple bolt on. Parts required modification before they would fit on my 1990 d21. Would probably buy from y'all again though.
